U17 Players Fitness Testing @ York St. John University

6 Dec 2015 by Staff - David Winterburn (ACM)

On Thursday evening 4th December, the U17 players took part in fitness testing at York St John. Using equipment normally only available to world class performers the girls completed tests of muscle ability, movement analysis and body composition.

They used the BodPod (egg) to calculate body composition to inform their diets.
The Isokinetic dynometer was used to calculate muscle strength and power to help with individualised conditioning and injury prevention.

Some of the girls had the chance to use the Qualysis software to analyse their movements and create a 3D model.

It is great for the girls to experience this level of testing and analysis to help us manage them better than ever.
